Governor Lamont Extends State of Emergency
On January 26, 2021, Governor Ned Lamont issued a letter which extends Connecticut’s state of emergency from its prior termination date of February 9 to April 20, 2021, unless earlier terminated by him.
The effect of this extension is that the Governor’s Executive Order 7Q, which authorizes and sets forth conditions for remote notarization of documents and suspends witness requirements, will remain in effect as long as the current state of emergency remains in effect.
